Marjoram lends itself to quick Summer Salads. Both Oregano and Marjoram should be added towards the end of the cooking process. And the Golden Tips of this flavour of Marjoram are really pretty for presentation purposes.
This dish takes less than 5 minutes to make. Enabling you to spend more time outside than in, this Summer... It is simple. And very tasty.
Take some mushrooms and sweat/fry them gently in some butter or oil. (Even better, if you have already made a herb oil or butter using Marjoram, use it now.) Add some chopped Marjoram just as the mushrooms are reaching ready and cooked. Swirl the herbs around with the mushroom for about a minute. Place the mushroom and herb mix on your chosen salad. Add a few chopped herbs to the top. Take some of the gold tips and add them too (here - on the tomatoes so they stand out). Then... eat!
